Yes. But I got a feeling that hackers are going to make it available for the 3G and 2G phone. Just wait. You heard it here first;)

i read somewhere that the 3GS uses a new DSP chip for the voice control so any jailbroken hack for the older phones probably won't work nearly as well.

Oh really? Hmm, didn't know about that. Where you read it at?

LOL....I don't exactly take this site as the definitive point of facts about anything concerning Mac. Seems most of this stuff is just made up bull in hopes that someone believes it. :D

This is actually pretty cool. I could care less about this feature, but I'll actually be using this. Only complaint is I wish I could call out a specific song, rather than album or artist.

That's what I want. Maybe they haven't figured out how to handle multiple songs with the same name (even by the same artist...say an album version and a live one)?

Does anyone know if the voice control works while the iPhone is plugged into an accessory device? I'd really like that feature to use it in while plugged into my car stereo, but whenever it's plugged in the music screen is locked out with that 'Accessory atteched' screen. Just wondering if you can still launch voice controls while the unit itself is plugged in.

This is a great feature. I will use this a lot

I'll agree. I just tried it and it worked flawlessly with my LI accent. :)

It told me what music was playing, asked me which number I wanted when I said to call my wife, etc. Awesome stuff!

When using it for calling contacts/dialing it's been near 100% for me. When using it to control music it works about 5% of the time for me. In other words, great for dialing, unusable for music.

Does voice control work with bluetooth headset?

Yes it does work with certain Bluetooth Stereo Headsets, You have to read up out on the net for which people have tested it out.

I also know and have tried using the WHITE in Ear Headphones that come with the 3Gs,

If you hold down the middle button that turns on voice and it works great!

What are you speaking in russian or something?

Works 100% of the time for me on music

calling out specific songs wouldve been totally awesome

i think the 'what song is playing' is totally useless

why would i hold down the home button forever..stop the song..ask what is playin when i could just double click the home button twice and read it

so dumb.

Erm, perhaps you're driving and are keeping your eyes on the road?

I just figured out you can't do that the semi-hard way. Tried to dial two different numbers when I said "play Poker Face." OK, so I tried "Play Fall Out Boy." Nothing. "Play Sting." The Lady Antebellum album comes up.

OK, so VC isn't perfect. But it did work when I used it to call someone last night. Gives the Apple engineers work to do.
