Was watching Click on BBC this morning and caught a glimpse of a product that uses an interface similar to the iPhone and iPod Touch, made by NVIDIA it boasts cover flow with movies, which to be honest looks and moves just as good as the iPhone. Now what you can also do is connect this device with a HDMI cable straight to your TV and play these HD Movies in 720p which i think is unbelievable!!!

EDIT: For sum reason youtube has taken my video down, the swines, I'm gonna post sum screencaps, the original video is HERE for you to watch http://news.bbc.co.uk/player/nol/ne...247500/7247527.stm?bw=bb&mp=wm&news=1&bbcws=1

Interesting ... I have to believe that Apple has a patent on the interface and this looks like a direct rip-off -- we will have to wait and see.

I saw it too. It's a brick IMO, not a touch on the iPhone (pun intended).

You can also see, even from the crappy YouTube video (although I did see it on telly) that the picture quality on the display itself is not impressive (very poor black levels from the looks of things).

IMO, the only advantage this has over the iPhone is that it can display high definition video on a TV. IMO, it won't take off...

It's a prototype, not available for sale, and I'm sure that Apple are not resting on their laurels. Who knows what else iPhone 2.0 will be able to do?

Looks like either the person uploading the video removed it or Apple's worldwide eyes saw it and removed it.

I doubt that Apple removed it. It's from a BBC piece that is copyrighted but was publicly broad/web cast.

    Link for Click video here.

NVIDIA feature starts at about the 3 minute mark.
