so if my 1password membership is ending in the next few days and I want to get a family account instead, I would have to create a new account?

If the Satechi M1 Mac mini hub did a pass through TB3 or at least a USB 3.2 USBc that supported a monitor then I'd be all over it.

I assume so, but depending on what you are using you can do an export of your vault and then reimport it into the new account I guess. If you’re a heavy user of secure files etc then it’s possibly more involved depending on whether those files get included in any export (i assume not but I don’t really know).

Do these discount codes work outside the USA?
I wouldn’t expect that, and even if the codes does, the shipping and custom will eat it up.
If it is a service like 1Password you’re interested in check it up by all means. If it is a product, forget about it.
It’s cheaper to buy nationally or within EU these days. I used to import earlier. Today, only if I want something really badly and I can’t find it nationally out elsewhere in Europe.

Just message 1Password directly or find an admin that is replying to posts on the 1Password subreddit and ask them for a discount comparable to the holiday discount but for you as a longterm customer rather than new customer. They will likely give you some kind of discount. They are very friendly like that without having to play games, like creating a new account and pretending to be a new customer. It might not be as good of a deal, but just don't buy that donut or coffee one morning and you'll be all caught up. ;)
