Good evening I was lucky enough to pick up a AW S6 in stainless steel graphite. I love the watch however it seems to be hurting my wrists I've tried several different bands however the pain is still there. Forgot to mention I have a 6.9 inch wrist and own 44mm model. I'm now starting to wonder could the size or weight of the SS being causing any problems. I really love the watch but the pain issue is really starting to bug me. Any help and advice would be really appreciated.

If you're not used to wearing a watch all day you might have to figure out a way to work through it or maybe the S6 isn't for you.. I've worn watches of all weights and sizes over the last 45 years and the 44mm S6 is one of my lighter watches, that being said I've never had any sort of pain from any watch I've owned. Maybe you're wearing the band too tight?

Thank you guys I'll send a photo later, however it seems to be the square design or size.!! I have 6.9 inch wrists however due to motor neurone disease I've lost a lot of muscle mass in my arms. I really love the watch so was thinking of trying the 40mm size. If there is anyone with the 40mm on here I would appreciate your opinions please.?

I had wrist pain with the 6 but none with the 5 or 4. It's weird because as near as I can tell the design is the same. It is SS vs Aluminum but hard to believe that just being a little bit harder is it.

My guess is that because of Covid, I'm working from home and the angle on the desk, combined with the volume of time working at it, that the watch hit a nerve / pressure point often enough to hurt. Whereas before it was under the limit. The watch's battery life probably helped too as it would be on the charger for an hour meaning at most a couple of hours wearing it in a workday at the home desk.

Thought I would follow up on this as I'm able to wear the AW6 again.

I ordered a bicep band, it was cheap and figured I'd try, and it came with a smaller band that fit the wrist. I decided to give it a shot and because it ties with Velcro I'm able to get a firm, but looser fit than I was able to with the Nike or Sport band that the watch came with. The band has largely eliminated any pain. I suspect the $49 AW band that has a magnet I think, could achieve the same effect. This band, which was $15 is a little awkward as it unwraps when I take it off but I'll use it for awhile.

Still, looks like the pain really was the watch pressing down on the nerve.

I had the same when I bought my SE.
Never wore watches, and the first week or 2, it wasn’t fun at all.

changed the silicone sport band that came with my watch (worst band ever imo) and bought a nylon sport band(original) .

never looked back since, took the deep dive and spend the ridiculous €99 for a braided loop. And I have to admit, the braided loop, is the best band ever. Never took it off since I got it!

I sense I have a lot of dislike and even hate for the default silicone sportband.
Just sell it or throw it in the trash where that garbage belongs.
My wrist is not made for this, so none of the holes in the thing are comfortable for me.
The quality of the band is bad as well, because the bottom part doesn’t click immediately in my watch, because of the thickness of the silicone.

Do yourself and your wrist a favor, and buy the nylon sport band at least, to give it a try!!
