Write IPTC Metadata to Master" no longer functioning for JPGs in Lion

Is anyone else having this problem using Aperture 3 in Lion....when you try to write the IPTC metadata to Master (in a referenced library) it comes up with the error "No Masters were Modified. Aperture was not able to modify one or more master files because they have a format that does not permit modification." Does anyone know of a fix for this?

get photo mechanic. Not very helpful, I know(and I'm sorry). But its the best for IPTC writing and I've never experienced any problems with it.
