Hi,

I've tried to MRoogle, google and search Apple discussions for the incorrect reporting of free space on my SSD. I have a Intel 330 series SSD (120 g) installed (with the SATA 1.5 link speed bug) and running Mountain Lion.

The dekstop hard-drive icon displays that I have 114 gigs free, but the disk utility says that I have 59 gigs free. I was wondering why is there a large discrepancy?

I also have TRIM enabled.
 
It's just a bug, I think it has to do with flash storage that is on ssd, because my flash drives do the same thing. Nothing to worry about, at least that I know of

Btw, my flash drives all said about half as much as it really is, like your ssd
 
Updated Java and all got normal

I updated Java, and everything went back to normal
