Back in my school days I used to prefer Dixon Ticonderoga pencils. The wood was soft enough that my teeth didn't hurt too much, but strong enough that they wouldn't break too easily. Then I stopped chewing on my writing implements (bad habit). :D ;)

I've used the same Pentel P205 for the past 8 years or so. It got me all the way through college. :)

I wouldn't buy anything else.

Back when I actually used pencils, it was Eberhard Faber American #2 HB all the way.

Stay away from the crappy pencils with that crummy fibrous wood and leads that break immediately under the slightest pressure even after sharpening.

I use a Pentel P205 exclusively too. I only got it a couple months ago, but I plan on using it forever (if i don't lose it, fingers crossed).

Pentel sure does make kick as Mechanical Pencils

Ticonderoga Woodgrain. Amazing pencil; but any Ti will do you good.

People look at me funny when I tell them how much I adore a pencil, but I buy my Ticonderoga's in bulk! They are really that good.

I only use pen when I absolutely have to. My weapon of choice would be any Staedtler mechanical pencil with 0.5 lead. Perfect or my microscopic writing.:D

I don't really mind about the brand, just so long as I use an HB or H for writing (preferably hexagonal... thinking about it I really am fussy about these things...) and a 2B through to 6B for drawing (rounded) - of course, these are just regular pencils...I don't like the feel of most plasticky mechanical pencils.

Staedtler Mars rubbers are the best in my opinion, although I use putty rubbers most of the time - no rubbings!

All this has reminded me I really need to get on with my homework :(

Where do you buy them in bulk?

I can't stand mechanical pencils. The lead is always either too fine or too thick, so I can never get the line I like.

At the moment I have some Derwent pencils. HB, 2H and 3H.

Found a Ticonderoga pencil sitting on the studio desk (radio) when I left yesterday. So I took it. :D

BIC Mechanical pencils.

I agree 100%. I use hundreds of pencils at school and I still prefer them to any that I've used before. Plus, they're not that expensive so if you lose one it's not a big deal.

When's the :apple: iWrite coming out?
