Does anyone have any idea at all what is going on here?

Im guessing that those cables are amplifying somehow.... but is it hooked up to a weaving machine??? is that what that is?

WTF?

It looks like its a system for tightening the strings with foot pedals to get a different sound.

Never seen it used before though.

Yeah I thought of that too.... but there are way to many cables.... assuming you have one cable per string, and that is a 6 string guitar..... so Im not sure

And I got this pic off of Facebook..... its like myspace, but for college kids only.

maybe its a do-hicky for the thing on the floor. As he play the thing on the ground plays another tune....but i know one thing....it looks really stupid.

Bless

find him and ask him....

...as a musician....the string tuning is logical....

...bu ti do know ONE thing....im sure its WAY top heavy...😉

Is it an experimental device to help guitarists who lose their left hands?

No smiley this time. Serious thought.

my guess

it looks like the foot pedals are connected to the top of the strings

so... prolly a tuneing type thing

y don't u ask the guy on facebook what the deal is then tell us!
(or tell me where to find him & i'll go ask him - i'm on face book...)

This looks like a homebrew pedal steel mod to a standard guitar... must be a $^&&3? to hold with all that weight on the headstock. Neck warping in the near future too, I guess.
