It seems European iPhone 4 buyers are paying for ″free″ bumpers for American customers.

Even if Apple decided to do a full recall for the phone, it will cost them 1.5 billion which is still tiny compared to their cash in hand (around 30-40 billion I believe)

The free bumper program will only cost them around $180 million and will be expensed in Q4 earnings.... This figure is tiny compared to their estimated operating income for this period...

Don′t give me the trolling crap. The price of the iPhone in Europe is just too high. The difference in price of an iPhone in Europe vs. America is large enough to cover many bumpers or meat or shoes..whatever you want.

And yes, I want iPhone, and I don′t want other phones. But they should have priced it a little bit less, not more than 600EUR for 32GB! It is ridiculous! Both iPhone 3G and 3GS were both lower priced compared to the iPhone 4. Seeing that the price in USA didn′t go up, why does it have to go up in Europe?!

The bumpers have nothing to do with it.
And I dont know, maybe you considered Apple has to sell them for different prices on various countries depending on import tarrifs and many other taxes that each place charge them to import and sell their device in each particular country. Also shipping and many other fee's.
Crying about it here wont make a difference. If you dont want to pay for it dont buy it or get one cheaper from another country or get one used.

Canada is getting 16GB iPhone 4 for CAD 659 and 32GB for CAD 779... I guess they hate you?

But again, I am reiterating the same point for the last 3 times now... If you want to get it cheaper, go to TIM/3/Vodafone and get the iPhone with contract
