So yeah... I'm trying to launch the Terminal to force quit an application, but I'm getting this odd error... anyone know how to resolve it and why it's happening? It's really bizarre!!

Then... When i finally get it up and running it says:

Could not open a new pseudo-tty.

:(

What's the app you're trying to quit? The two problems could be related... Are you having any other problems with the machine at the moment? Have you tested to see if you can load Terminal in another user account? :)

er.. coconutBattery 2.6.2

I can't seem to force quit no matter what key combo I use... it's odd.

I notice I've been experiencing alot of strange situations where non-commercial applications simply won't quit.. it's just annoying at times.

Have you tried COMMAND-OPTION-ESCAPE? Is the computer otherwise acting normally right now? Is this the machine you're posting from at the moment? Can you open Activity Monitor?

Yep... computer's fine all my applications seems to be running as normal.

I've tried COMMAND-OPTION-ESCAPE the first few times, even in tried the Force Quit Application to no avail.. it's still bleeding stuck on 'not responding'!!

I'm guessing either the finder automatically booted it or it become so unstable itself quitted. :D

Nice..... :)
