WTF? Update failed must restore

I got an error (didn't tell me what) and said that the update failed and I now must totally restore my phone. 😡😡😡😡

You can't update if you're jailbroken. You need to restore first, then update.

The phone had been jailbroken but I updated it to 5.1.1 this morning with no problem so it wasn't JB when I did the 6 update

I got the same thing. My iPhone is factory unlocked but was jailbroken. Restoring now.

Yeah, it updated to iOS and is restoring my data now. Ugh...it's going to take hours 😡 The good news is my iPad seems to be updating just fine...almost done.
