Any decent monarch is nothing if not ambitious. ;)

Mmmm, we have some typical wolf strategy here in going for a quieter/frequently lynched player.

2 wolves, we know one is atleast a veteran of the game. go after someone that has no heat on them.

ill go raven right now. he was 2nd to jump on koodauw (who is a threat when alive). and a vet.

moyank first voted, then raven, then twietee.

Merely quoting Nietzsche.

Somebody probably wanting to do TechGod a favor. Don't waste your precious time on here like us old n rusty folks do, pal!

Or they wanna discredit Cpt. twietee, I sense multiple sources questioning my loyalty already. All baseless accusations that goes without saying.

DP, chrmjenkins still alive? That's a new one to me.

True, but as it's been pointed out, pretty much everyone playing this game is a vet.

Don't Panic has been quieter than his usual analytical self, but I'm not sure yet if that means anything.

I was largely AWOL yesterday with a hectic day at work, but today should be a bit easier on me.

We have a long (game) day ahead of us. I'm going to withhold my vote for the time being and see how things play out.

True, we have a long day, but I am usually out for hours on a Saturday, visiting farmers' markets, having coffee, and so on; and this coming Sunday, I expect my visits shall be fairly fleeting, too, as it will be the tenth anniversary of my father's death, and there will be a family gathering to acknowledge that, it being a Bank Holiday week end as well.

Okay. Normally, I withhold my vote until fairly late, but, today, I shall stir a still pot a little and see what transpires.

Thus, I'll cast a vote for chrmjenkins.

That does not in any way imply guilt, (or innocence). It is merely an attempt to flush some individuals out, and see what transpires.

Apparently I wasn't cool enough:(

I am sorry about your murder. It bears all of the hallmarks of an experienced hand.

As a loyal subject of His Majesty, i have to question QueenofSpades traitorous ambition, unless of course she plans on moving the capital to its proper location

Anything more substantial to it than that? I was kinda suspecting her day1 (well, on what little you can go on at that time), thus voting for koodauw instead of raven for self-defence, but now..

When Rick says vet I guess he means experienced and good player. I tend to agree given the heinous killing of TechGod. Shrinks the pool considerably too. :D

Nope, not really.
Still too early to have much of an informed decision
I will likely change it, depending on what transpires.

The (incrementally more) rational options would be you or raven, but even tbat is still very weak.

The day is very young still. We shall see

Feel like I have a mental block after having not played for so long. With these special rules, it seems our chances will be very volatile based on which powers villagers ended up with. I wonder if it could be to our advantage to have some people out themselves, then guess at who is bluffing.

At this early stage, no, or, not necessarily.

Having the murderers able to identify useful and powerful village powers, and who wields them, simply makes these individuals targets.

There is a time for individuals to out themselves: I am not sure that that time has been reached just yet.

Better still, let us see who votes and for whom; what they say - and what they don't say. And who gets killed, or targeted…….and who does not.

On the contrary, as time goes on, the more roles that are vacant or dead that a wolf can claim he/she is.

But we don't know how many roles are in play - there are more roles than either loyal officers ('villagers') or, for that matter miscreant murderers ('wolves').

At this stage, I would be very wary of revealing the 'core' 'loyal officer' ('villager') roles until we know a little more.

Once a Seer is outed, for example, you might as well paint a large target mark on the person, one that even a blundering and inexact brown bess can accurately take aim at.

Several possible roles are in the general pool, but it's still risky to reveal those, especially since it's still relatively early in the game.

This is true, and many of the roles may be outed by those in danger as the deadline nears, where they be able to prove said roles by manipulating the votes at the deadline. Or just save themselves outright.

I'm always in favor of knowing as much info as we can to help narrow things down, but I also in favor of timing it in a way where it helps us as much as possible.

It is a game of information. The wolves would be perfectly content with no one posting in the thread because their chance of acting successfully greatly outweighs ours. The more people talk, the more information the general populace has. Nothing prevents the seer from lying or assuming a very unimportant role instead, or someone can fake being the seer, draw a protection, and even when they're killed, the real seer yet lives. It is much more risky for a wolf to bluff and claim to be an important role such as that.

This may be a dumb question, but do I read the assignment order right in that there is no definite quota for no. of villager exclusive/general pool roles assigned to the villagers?

so far we know very little regarding roles.

- there are two WW (alpha and kami) who ALSO have one additional general role each.
- there already might be an infected WW (since the infection only works at night, it will be used earlish, although maybe not this early)
- there is a very low but not zero chance that we have a morpher who picked a WW, which potentially means 4ww
- there are 3 'core' villagers for sure (seer, undertaker, guard)
and 8 from the mixed exclusive+general pool.
- there are 3 villagers already dead (including melrose who we learned was also assigned a role)
- we have some indirect 'negatives' indications: for example unlikely there is an oracle, koodauw was not a die-hard, techgod was not a thug

voting data yield little infos on the first couple of days, since there is so little context.

the WW do not need to claim a role (other than kami+alpha), because they do have one.

Another question, what if e.g. DP got infected and scanned at the same night: what info would the Seer receive? Addict or clean?

Well, I have to assume that they have roles in addition to the standard (core) kami and alpha roles; they can claim these, if challenged, or requested, and not mention that they are also WWs.

Perhaps Sythas could clarify - as, re-reading his initial post, I am not entirely clear, myself.

However, I assume that the standard 'old roles' are all in play, and that everybody (WWs and 'villagers' or 'loyal officers' both) has an additional role, either a general one or a role exclusive to their primary loyalty, which would be WW or 'village'.

all villagers have a single role picked from the core, exclusive or general pool (the 3 village core are always there).

core wolves have one role on top of their wolfie-role. so alpha will have alpha+ one general role, kami will have kami+one general role.

in this game the wolfie exclusives are not in play, because we didn't have enough players
