I have been out dining with my brother - today is his birthday, and am just in.
And later, we shall watch the count, commentary and returns of the General Election in the UK.
So, as of now, Tomorrow is on three votes, while both Moyank and Sythas are ion two each. And there are two or so hours left before the deadline, (which, if I read things correctly before my departure earlier this afternoon, is around 1 a.m GMT).
The reason for the empathetic partners is - I suspect - to offer an experience analogous to that of the old Night Watch to everyone and this is excellent. However, we none of us know the precise genetic wiring or coding of our partners, which makes for an unusually interesting intimacy with our genetic partners; empathy and intensity, and intellectual intimacy, along with a degree of uncertainty......

Ah, well, I guess I can't have a run as successful as I did in the last game EVERY time. *shrug* It's curious how easily I can fly completely under the radar as a WW, but be the first to be voted off when I'm not.
I don't know what everyone else is going by (and indeed, first votes are very often random), but "la v."
I'd vote for either Sythas or Moyank24 to try to force a tie, but I have reasons for not.

Yes, I think that is what happened. I missed Meister's vote, as his post seemed to have crossed with mine.
Okay, Tomorrow at four votes, and Moyank and Sythas at two each.
It is quite clear that voting for anyone who has received but one vote would be a monumental waste of a vote, which leaves my path clear. Thus, in order to trigger the conditions which may lead to the tie, I need to cast a vote for either Moyank or Sythas.
For now, then, - and I am still open to persuasion to go in a different direction, I'll go with Moyank.

if we do get to over-time, do all votes get cancelled and we re-start from 0-0, or do the vote already cast by third parties to the 'finalists' remain valid unless changed?

My understanding is that - in the event of a tie at the deadline - only the 'top two' who tied for that position can be voted for, in a sort of run-off, and that they themselves cannot cast a vote.
But I could be wrong....

yes, that is correct, but do the people who already voted for them need to vote again, or their vote is already there (of course they can always change if they wish).
now the situation is tomorrow 4 -moyank 4.
if it stays like this, do we start from 0-0 or from 3-3 for the run-off?

it's not unlikely: we have 10 votes
easiest way is to just go back to the standard practice to resolve an over-time tie: first person who got there wins the 'prize'.
Yeah, just wanted to throw in some 'spontaneity' into it. I'll think about it. If I can't come up with something fun, I'll probably do it that way.
