Why poor ole me :). We needed to close out the voting on the last day and were trying to get four votes on Rick. When Rick was discovered to be a villager, that pretty much meant that Intel was a WW.

Everyone did great and you almost had me on day one. The player I was the most nervous about was @mobilehaathi. We were thinking of eating Rick on night one until he wrote the post. I hope that the new players will consider playing in the next game.

Apologies to @rick snagwell for our actions in the game. He is a good player and he was correct that we were misinterpreting his post on purpose.

I'm generally a poor WW (in my opinion a much better villager) and the short game helped us win. Unfortunately, if you win as a WW, you usually are hanged day one for at least the next game :(.

Many thanks to my partner Intell who suffered through this game with the plague.

Who did you scan on day one ?
I suspected you from the very start. I guess I should have stuck with you on the next day. ;)

@rick snagwell had a great point in one of his post. The people who post the most in this game are usually killed by the other players. Case in point was myself and @twietee where we got the most initial votes. Statistically in this game, it's the people who post the least are most likely WWs or specials.

In future games, recognize any gut feelings you have but rely most on people's voting records. WWs try to split their votes (i.e. not vote for the same person). The will also rarely switch votes and they prefer to remain out of the fray by not voting for the person who is hanged. They will sometimes vote for the other WW as the first vote but they will rarely vote for a WW that has more then one vote. The exception to this is if a WW is definitely going to be voted out, the WWs partner may make the killing vote. As I mentioned earlier, a WW is usually very quiet.

Yeah, for sure. Admittedly I didn't have much to go on, so I left off my gut for a round. Unfortunately we had very few people in this game, so clearly I didn't have time to get back to you. I, ah, was definitely going to.

I have to admit, though, that rick really threw me off. Voting for oneself was such a, ummm, insane thing to do that I couldn't help but think it was suspicious, no matter how many game-theoretic reversals I tried to argue through.

The way Rick phrased it though:

so lame...you guys def know who the wolf is now...

rick

:p:p Now that you think about it, that's something a WW would clearly never do. His self-vote probably was meant to be a final shout out that he wasn't the werewolf. That didn't go down so well.

You were always suspicious to me. Your kindness, your posting style, and your timings / actions just stood out to me as a red flag when I first saw this thread on Monday. I don't know why I chose twietee over you, I still can't explain it. I was thinking about switching to you before the deadline, but that probably wouldn't have helped because most of the folks who voted for you pulled out and voted for Rick. I thought the game would have gone more longer though.

You live and learn though. From now on it's NTP: Never Trust Pluto.

It's a good motto to live by :). The sad thing is I act the same way when I'm a villager which is why I'm killed by the village within the first two - three turns in a majority of the games. I also annoy some of the other players since I never reveal my role in the game if I'm one of the specials (seer, hunter, etc.) until later in the game (i.e. kill me at your own peril). Conversely, I'm rarely eaten by the WWs since they know the villagers are likely to kill me.

The next morning, the town is littered with dead bodies, two wolves -- and @Moyank24 -- standing.

"Wait, but you're supposed to eat @Moyank24!" @Plutonius says.

"Uh? Thought we're debating who to let live, not who to eat?" @Intell says.

"We're only supposed to eat one!"

"Ohhh great. Now I'm going to pray to the porcelain god for a while."

"... what's the porcelain god?"

"Ah, never mind, you wouldn't understand."

GAME OVER -- WOLVES WIN!

Roles:
@Plutonius and @Intell were the werewolves.
@Moyank24 was the seer.
@twietee was the hunter.
[doublepost=1487899119][/doublepost]So... do we think we're ready for the Trump Drumpf game?
thanks for sparking interest once again for WW, raven!

lets post it up and see if we get enough bites?

Darn, my next vote was going to be for Pluto, but I can see why it ended. We would need a three vote lock, and with two wolves, it would be easy to figure out the truth.

Standard rule is that the wolves win when there are the same number of villagers as wolves.

During voting, the "winner" is the player with the most votes, not the majority. If there is a tie, the first player most recently to that count is the unlucky winner. With equal teams, the best the villagers could do is a tie. The wolves however are able to collude ahead of time. Thus, in theory they would be able to vote immediately upon the release of the nightly results, and winning the tie. This rule keeps players from having to camp out at their computer trying to vote the earliest.
