WWDC '09. Hopes, Fears, Expectations? (69 Days Left)

I want to see new iPhone Hardware announced along the lines of my sig below and I hope Steve Jobs is there to reveal it but I fear he won't be.

its going to be about upcoming os's. Snow Leopard and iPhone 3.0. and to go along with iphone os 3.0, new hardware announcements.
 
I'm hoping to see new hardware with better RAM. Thus far from testing the Beta 3.0 (yes I know it is Beta) it is impossible to live with unless you have a RAM freeing program such as MemoryInfo or MemoryFree.

Other than that, I am excited to see the new Snow Leopard. I have been avoiding reading up on it or testing it out because I want to be surprised.
 
does everyone know what a developer's conference is? its were they come and talk about developing software(3rd party app store people/mac apps), and upcoming stuff from companys(apple's iphone 3.0 and new dev things, and snow leopard.)
 
There's now a rumor out there that Steve Jobs will announce his retirement at WWDC.

I don't believe that, but if he does, AAPL stock will collapse short term. Then I'll be able to get back in!
 
Its highly likely iPhone 3 will be unveiled at WWDC ... as has been made very clear by Apple exec's ... they reveal products now on their own terms ... WWDC is one of the biggest (THE biggest?) Apple run events and therefore its scheduled on their terms

WWDC was such an iPhone dominated conf last year, i think it will repeat itself
 
Hopes:
OLED hi-res screen
Upgraded camera lens and sensor
Faster processor and more RAM
Matte back
Battery battery life (Nano-Phosphate Li-Ion or some other new battery tech)
Better cell reception
Better GPS reception (WASS maybe?)

Predication:
Slightly updated Processor and RAM
5Mp camera
"Better" battery

Fears:
No updated hardware
5Mp camera without updated lens and sensor
A "Pro" iPhone that costs twice as much just to get these features

The problem is that Apple isn't exactly honest about it. They claimed he was fine a few weeks before he said he was taking off on medical leave.

the only hardware that will be mentioned is the iPhone. mainly because of the new software. thats why they upgrade it, plus its on the yearly cycle for the iPhone. and the original iphone was announced at macworld that year. it was just released around that time of year.

It's Apple so you never know.

Well what would you call it if we got Steve Jobs? Hardware or software?:p
 
All I know is I'm getting excited thinking about the possibility of the new iPhone.

I'll definitely be upgrading, now I'm wondering what I'll do with my 3g! Probably end up selling it.
 
I think apple will release a new iPhone at WWDC 09 and hold an event either later this year or early next year, revealing new Macs, iPods etc. Does anybody else think the iPod touch will get updated at the same time of the iPhone?

Nobody in their right mind.
The iPod touch will most likely be updated in September.
There is chance there will be a 64GB iPod touch when the 32GB iPhone come out, but then it would be out for only a few months before a 3rd generation iPod touch is released.
 
I think that this year is not really surprised compared to last year. there are not many things happening. anyway, this is what I can predict or expect. iphone 3.0 will be released at first day of WWDC or the end of day. I think it will be sure. new mac os x 10.6 snow leopard will get official release date, there will be more demonstration. that's all.
 
I have to admit, I'm very excited for WWDC this year and can't wait to get off work that day and rush home to watch the footage but if I sit through 2 or 3 hours of event footage and it's as bland as MW was and no new iPhone is announced, no matter how small the (non)upgrade, I'll be a bit bummed.

BUT! I will be getting my first iPhone period, a shiny new iPhone 3G the following day so I'm not too worried about it.

After all, I've waited over 2 years for this and I'm not letting anything spoil it for me. :D
