Most boring keynote opening evvveerrrr......

Yeah yeah, it's for developers but they didn't shut down Apple stores worldwide just to bore us to sleep.

Even the mandatory stockholder brag-fest is more interesting than this.

It's also important that people haven't drifted into a coma by the time you reach the climax...

First of all, most of the people there are developers. This is what they do, what they are interested in.

No one is forcing you to keep track of the updates... you can go and chill out for an hour or two and come back to find out what goodies have been released.

They know that you all want to hear the 3G iPhone stuff, and they're giving the keynote - they'll decide when they tell you.

Also, I think Apple wants to refocus this as a developer event. That's why user features go last.

This stuff is fascinating to those who help Apple do what it does: the developers.

I snicker at the "boring" chants on the board because this isn't a consumer electronics conference...its a developers conference. If this stuff doesn't interest you, I'm sorry, you're in the wrong place.

Except this is boring because it's a CEC with an occasional nod to developers. There's been a brief discussion of how easy it is to develop for an Apple-branded cellphone, but most of the conference, thus far, has been a long checklist of iPhone features and endorsements. We're looking at a great big sales-pitch for a cellphone.

Which makes you wonder if they're going to force everyone at the conference to sign a two year contract at the end of the presentation? ;-)

This is kinda like the even in March about the iPhone SDK. I felt, that it was going to be more interesting than this...but then again, it is the WWDC...:(

well, 145 days in an average of 250, i dont know if i want to wait another 3 months..shoot. anyone know if they'll do a live feed of the snow leopard talk after lunch?
