anyone else find it odd that everything is being introduced and displayed on the old iPhone? Are they building up hype or is there no new phone? Only time will tell!

Dear Steve,

I know you're reading this.

Sack the person that designed the schedule for this keynote.

Yours,

Again, I realize it's a dev conference but right now this event is headline news on every major news site in the world, and the 99% who aren't developers are waiting with baited breath. Can't those hairy-palmed devs just huddle up in a corner and look depressed for 20 minutes while we get the relevant news out of the way? This is like coming to a Rolling Stones concert only to find that the opening act is a small square of lawn, and we have to watch it grow for an hour or so before the Stones are on.

Good thing about these devs on stage is they are on and off, its moving really fast....

iPhone 2.0 is the software platform. There may or may not be a new hardware platform for iPhone (I don't think there will be).

Well the whole world is going to be disappointed if there isn't a new iPhone announced today. Every news source out there has been talking about it with a $199 price. If it doesn't happen there is going to be a lot of disappointed people.

Wirelessly posted (iPhone 16GB: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; iPhone OS 2_0 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5A308 Safari/525.20)

as a developer I have to say this keynote is a complete waste of time: if they don't announce a new phone we won't have anyone to sell our apps to anyway!

I hate to be a complainer... I normally understand our hype will never be fulfilled... but this really is getting pretty boring. I was hoping for something more than the 3G iPhone... but I'm starting to get worried about it even showing up...
