Steve@me.com - looks like it really is a .mac replacement.

Seems like customization is the focus, which makes sense since the iPhone has been blasted for not allowing users to customize their experience much like other phones - BlackBerry in particular.

Though, I wonder how all these new applications will effect battery life...

Is it a rule that the iPhone has to be announced first thing? Everyone already knows it's coming, so there's no chance of spoilers there. The new features may go beyond what a developer needs to know about, so they'll let them play around with stuff for awhile and then reveal it later.

Also, Hulu has a feature like the buddy finder. If the iPhone app will be anything like that one people can only see you if you want them to.

As for no iPhone until July, I hope that's not true. I have to go out of town in 2 weeks and I'd really like to have a new phone by then. Mine is on its last leg and my friends can't find their old phone.

And I wish I had money to buy stocks. Silly people selling just because a new product isn't announced immediately.

Steve, I swear to god. I have storms coming and if my power goes out I'm gonna...

...do absolutely nothing but bitch and moan.

Maybe, more likely it's like .mac and costs $100 a year, which includes web/iDisk space, webhosting, and an email account, though. Just my guess.

Yea but the push email part would only be worthwhile if I could use my existing email address. I don't want to switch and I can't be the only one.

You can tell who the new people are to this site by how SHOCKED they are that a few rumors may turn out NOT to be true

This site gets a LOT of rumors early and does a fantastic job with their article

But you also get a LOT of fake rumors or just exaggerations and every time there is a big Apple announcement you always get those people who are SHOCKED that Poster A saying this would happen was WRONG :D

I mean, hell....we heard every rumor in the book before this conference

One half was going to be right and the other was going to be wrong

That's the problem. Too many people WANT NEWS so they create it from their own minds. If there isn't news they get upset. The worse part is often times it will mislead people who are really trying to get good information.
