I'm on the waiting list 🙁

I got to go last year on a scholarship so as long as the person going in my place has never been, I'm okay with it 🙂. Apparently I'll know by the 7th if a spot will be available!

Congrats to those who received scholarships -- it was an amazing experience last year.
 
I wish Bryce wouldn't have vanished off the face of the earth.

So if anyone is looking to split a cost of a room let me know. I'll probably make my purchase on tues and that'll decide if i get a room with 1 bed or two.

just checked that out--some $150 per night😱
Sooo expensive

now i wonder where i can find cheaper ones

I'll split a room but where are you looking to stay that it'll cost $40 per person per day? From the prices I saw it be 75-80 per person per day. If you want to split, I'll reserve the room because I'm coming in the 5th and not sure when you're coming in.

From what I read, you can go to priceline.com, indicate your location, choose "best deal" and get a 4-star room for $7x
There are cheaper choices, e.g. Aida Plaza Hotel and the rate is $62 for twin room (this one has mixed reviews)

i'm planning to fly to SF on the 6th

BTW when are you leaving the city?

I leave saturday at 545 pm. Is Aida Plaza close to the moscone? Ive never been to Cali let alone san fran so i'm know nothing about the area.

It's quite close according to Google Map
But the house is along the street--which means a lot of noise
 
I got a student scholarship as well and will be attending (first time)!

I'm probably game to split a room with someone as long as you don't snore or bring home loose women at 1am. 🙂

I'm indifferent to noise. if I'm tired, I'll sleep thru anything. Since others are staying at the Best Western I'd prefer to stay there but if you want to do the cheaper place I'm game.

To iplato: if you don't mind sleeping on the floor I odn't see why ipsg, u and i can't split 3 ways. 🙂

Actually we can alternate beds since its gonna be a week.

Check out hostels.com as well
USA Hostels San Francisco seems to be a possible choice
The location is OK and the rate is as low as $30/person when 4 of us are staying together
If we three take a 4-bed room, that'll be $40/person which is still very reasonable
 
I'm pretty sure I don't have a session or anything at that time.



Yep just checked, session ends at 615 so I should be able to stop in. I know of no parties because im not hip and trendy and I'm from the east coast. 🙁

Is it relatively close to the event?
