Here is what I've been doing to pass the time. I've been checking out a totally different subject........cycling. Specifically, 2009 time trial bikes. Take a look at this sleek weapon from Ridley. Doesn't the thing just scream "SPEED"?

I know nothing of bikes, but from the look of it, it has good aerodynamics if you position yourself correctly.
It also looks like it could hurt you quite badly. o_O

Could you imagine if Apple posted the keynote on their site, and it showed the standard copyright credit and then a rickroll as some sort of cruel joke? Hehe :p

Phil Schiller: "We're so thrilled with the new iPhone Video Extreme's video editing capabilities that we're recording this keynote using only iPhones and will be editing and encoding the video all on the devices and publishing it over 3G after the event"

That explains it.

Has anyone here ever actually Rick Roll'd someone IRL?
Just burst out acapella in their face.. :D

Not like that, but something else.

I have this colleague who has his computer connected to some nice speakers and he plays radio over it. So when testing a website we were building I inserted the YouTube embed code in a text field and behold it worked and showed up on the page. Gave him a link saying something about a bug. I had a good time but the colleagues didn't get it :S they just didn't know about rick rolling :(

Yup. Position is everything when time-trialing. I wish I could go buy that right now. The thing is I don't have $9000.00 on hand at the moment. :(

Or even funnier. Phil Schiller comes to the stage: "We're no strangers to love, you know the rules and so do I..."

Indeed it does.
But this baby literally almost screams "speed": ;)

Great. The lunatics have taken over the asylum. Now gonna have to check each stupid link. Sense of humour failure at 20 to midnight.

Anyone else out there still praying for the 'one more thing' to be Steve Jobs?

As someone who, as a day job, gets live streams, edits them, and uploads them for download, I can tell you from personal experience: it takes longer than you think!

For example, at work, it takes about four times the length of the clip from the time we get it to the time it is ready to be inserted. So, if our company were doing it, it would take about 8 hours to get this video up.

Then again, we are using PCs (don't ask, I came to the company late in the game), I am sure Apple has higher end quality stuff than we do.
