iOS 6
The banners Mac Rumours found online pretty much prove this.

OS X Mountain Lion
Probably will be talked about with it's release this year. So I say Mac Rumours got this one right.

iCloud
Very plausable to hear some iCloud talk with regards to OS X Mountain Lion and iOS 6. So MacRumours probably have this right too.

MacBook Airs, MacBook Pros, Mac Pros, iMacs and Retina
Good rumours? Yes. WWDC rumours though? Probably not. This is a WWDevelopersC not a WWHardwareC. It could be a footnote on the Keynote but that's about it. So MacRumours saying it will definantly be talked on the WWDC keynote is obviously wrong.

Apple TV
They will probably talk about opening up the TV to developers. That is a safe bet. But a physical Apple brand television? MacRumours has been smoking the "we want a Apple brand television" pipe for way too long. Any smart person will realise this will not happen on the WWDC keynote. The MacRumours (as do many other people) need to wake up and realise this. If this was to happen it'd get it's own keynote later in the year.

iPhone
I'd say Plausable. Based on past years. Not a certain but I would not rule it out either.

Live Keynote Coverage
By Apple won't happen. We'll get the keynote on the website a little after the keynote is done. But will many websites have a live weblog of the keynote? Yes. MacRumours is no exception to this.

It's not "plausable", it's "plausible"...

David Pogue of the NY times wrote:

"Camera. I bought the amazing Canon S100, a tiny pocket camera with the biggest sensor on the market. I wrote about my reasons here. But in two weeks, I’ll be switching my allegiance. You cannot believe what’s about to come down the photographic pike. Trust me: If you’re in the market for a small camera with astonishing photographic results, hold off for a few weeks."

Is he talking about an Apple Camera?

I hope not. Apple seems to care about limiting the amount the devices someone has to carry. I would rather they focus their efforts on improving the tech of the camera sensor inside the iPhone. There is plenty more they could be doing there.

With regards to iLife and iWork, I think we'll see updates for them tomorrow.

They'll need to be retina-fied(?) for the new MBPs, plus iWork needs to have it's Mountain Lion/iCloud compatibility baked in.

Just deal with it

Macrumors has an international focus and not US only and it annoys me that you only post the US time for all Apple events (10am Pacific).
Many of your readers will have no idea what Pacific actually refers to.

It would be good if you could at least add Paris or London time for Europe.

You do use a computer of some sort, don't you? Then use it to find out what time it is elsewhere in the world - e.g., http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/

Did you complain about the transit of Venus time, too?

Uh-oh. You're gonna hear from the editors who don't like grammar corrections.

And that is exactly what is wrong with our society (well, one of the things..). If the phone, or any item for that matter, that you own does what you need it to then you should stick with it. This whole, keeping up with the Jones' thing is, unfortunately human nature, ridiculous.

Would you go any buy a new TV every year? HiFi, car, microwave.. it's just silly and doesn't make any sense.

In my opinion the current design is good and the software works very well. If anything they should leave it as it is and just update the battery.. I'd love a phone that could go a week or more.

to each their own i guess ;) i bought a white iPhone 4S because i was tired of my black iPhone 4, the hardware side was just a bonus. same reason why i upgraded from my old school xbox 360 to the "new" one. something new to unpack. with your logic, i'd still be wearing my pants from a year ago because well they still "function" :D

I'm hoping that with Maps all the graphical stuff will be built into the iOS, and the server will just have to send vectors, making it really quick to load maps, or they could even have a map of your entire continent baked in so that it'll work without a data connection. PLEASE!
(obviously that won't work with satellite images)

Anyone expect the MacBooks to look different? Or just a skinnier version of the aluminum unibody we have today?

Hi all,

Personally I think that Apple will announce a "new iPhone", reasons for this;

If Apple are announcing iOS6, won't developers need to know dimensions of apps they will be designing.

Now I don't believe Apple would announce iOS6 and fail to mention the size of the screen with all the leaks of the new iPhone that we have been having.

So iOS6 gets announced and so will new iPhone, probable July release

HW
Historically? No. iOS announcements and iPhone don't necessarily go hand in hand unfortunately. Odd as it may seem it's just the way it is.

Well thats just wasting money. And yes, you can oants even though they are a year old. Some people...

What's so disappointing about the new iPad? Did you expect them to make it from components not yet reliably available by the millions, to settle for sub-par battery life, or to defy the laws of physics?

Same camera on the front like last one, less battery life. Apps getting larger due to Retina display but capacity didn't increase, max out at same level as iPad 2...

If they are gonna introduce iOS6, I find it hard to believe them not talking about the new hardware. The new form factor surely comes with a lot of features that solely will be available for the new hardware, and I can't imagine they won't mention those.

as Tim Cook said at the end of the iPad 3 unveiling presentation:

"Across the year, you are going to see a lot more of this kind of innovation. We are just getting started"

when he says "this", he is referring to retina displays and software features guaranteed. in addition, i expect there to be other big significant changes at next week's conference that these rumors haven't even touched on yet. instead of us asking "which rumor will be true" , i think we should be asking which rumors will be true as i think a lot will be unveiled since there won't be another opportunity until the new iPhone is released

I think the important part of the message is "across the year," people do seem to be expecting 6 months worth of announcements in one keynote.

 my new iPad gets same battery life as my iPad 2 did.

that is one seriously, seriously underwhelming list of iOS 6 features. Really hope there's a LOT more to it.

I have to agree with you there. iOS6 will show if Apple is just 'staying the course' and given up on the 'revolutionizing' thing.

There was what, like a 6 year gap between the iPod and iPhone debuts? And now a 2 year period of consistent, but not earth shattering, work is equivelant to a failing on Apple's part?
That's when Apple owned the market. They have serious competition now, so waiting years between releases points to either Apple's obliviousness to it's own mortality or that Apple is, in fact, untouchable and they know it.

This WWDC doesn't look like it'll be that big of a deal.
I would agree with that if Tim Cook wouldn't say this sentence at the iPad presentation early this year:
Across the year, you are going to see a lot more of this kind of innovation. We are just getting started.
Apple NEVER said something like this lately. This sentence is the only hope for me to see a great presentation.
If Maps is the only real update in iOS 6, then man will I be disappointed.
It won't, they've surely learned many stuff from the Samsung S III. I don't like their OS but this phone is really amazing.
I hate the way Apple try to force IOS into OS X.
Oh yes, same here. I'll stick with Snow Leopard, Mountain Lion will be nothing for me.
If only I had your strength! :(
It's quite hard. :)

This is really shaping up to be one of the biggest WWDC's yet. In terms of sheer product volume across all their product lines, this will be the biggest.

Looking forward to the software announcements. The things that will interest me the most as a potential purchase this year are:

- iPhone 5– will have to wait until later this year to hear about that
- iOS 6– gimme now!
- Mountain Lion– always looking for the latest, I'll upgrade ASAP

All the retina features are going to be great, and if I were in a different upgrade cycle I'd jump on a new Mac. But I'm more than happy with my existing MBPro. I'm able to play Diablo 3 at 1920 x 1080 on almost all the highest settings. That's my litmus test. Speaking of which ...

iOS6

I would expect iOS6 to be more than small incremental changes, you don't jump an OS from v5.1 to 6.0 unless you have major updates/changes to make

It’s only underwhelming because you have impossibe expectations. It’s very easy to wish for unicorns and fairies when you are not working in that particular field of and have basically zero idea what it takes to make something good. Not to mention testing it. Like for example Siri. Please go do better and tell the world about it.
