It's more than likely just some legacy code being copypasta'd from before Lion was released. I think the requirement is Quicktime X rather than Snow Leopard.

I agree, I say snow leopard as that was the minimum req. for quicktime x. Still sucks though. I bit the bullet an have gone iphone.

Quicktime x makes more sense( I'm assuming X is the os x version of quicktime, correct me if I'm wrong), just opened up the MBP with lion and its playing in safari, going back to my win7 desktop and still not working in chrome or safari

How?! Been clicking 'Update Podcast' all afternoon in iTunes, nothing yet :(

that was my bad there, I went back and checked the download and it was just downloading the march keynote again, I guess itunes still doesn't get that when I mark it watched and delete it, it wants to download it again, frustrating

Wonderful! I had to open Safari to watch, and guess what homepage loaded immediately? Apple.com!

I kept my eyes off the page but my peripheral vision still gave something away.

If you use Glimmerblocker you have to turn it off, took me forever to figure out why it wouldn't stream.

Thanks for the link, see you all in 2 hours or so!

"Shortly"? The wait is unbearable, lol. I even took a nap and the stream isn't there. This isn't "shortly" at all. :(

I'm on Leopard, so I can't watch it. Geezus :(
Can't there be any full download link? Pleeeaaase?

That's two keynotes in a row now it's been up within an hour of it finishing. They must be using FCPX :)

I think people have said that it works in Safari on PC. And I think it also works on iPhones. But all I know for sure is that on OSX Lion it didn't work in Firefox but did work in Safari.

Yeah works in safari on iPhones and iPads as well. Thanks guys for keeping it almost entirely spoiler free (I saw one mishap that got deleted fairly quickly). Def was up fast and in good quality.

First time that I went the 'spoiler free' route and I will never go back. Tired of all the tech blogs and pundits writing what is happening, whilst adding nothing of value and actually diluting the announcements with their nonsense.

:apple:

Going spoiler free was amazing.
It was so much more exciting this way....plus the high quality video (instead of blurry pictures from the audience).

Here is an article discussing about WWDC 2012:
