Hi all,
Welcome to another edition of the spoiler-free experience for WWDC! This post will contain the official live keynote stream (when one is available). Please don't post any rumors/speculation. Until then, feel free to pass the time here.

Rules
- Do not mention any current rumors/new rumors
- Do not mention Apple's stock price
- Do assume everyone in this thread has heard nothing about WWDC Event
- Use common sense when posting
- Do not say what was not in the Keynote (ex. "They didn't update the AppleTVs!!")
- Be Patient!

Purpose of This Thread
The purpose is that people can bookmark this thread, and check in periodically to see if a link to the Keynote is posted (instead of being spoiled by seeing pictures on the MacRumors' homepage ). It's like we've all seen trailers for a movie (like the part leaks), but we want to watch the movie (the Keynote) without knowing the ending.

Also if someone does post spoilers please report them via the button located on the left of each post. Please do not quote the offending post.

Awesome! I've been spoiler free since 2008 I believe. There is also this site: http://wheniskeynote.com/

Does anyone know if there is any plans to stream it or will we have to wait the usual 4+ hours after?

It's never too early to start. This is a great time to start NOT talking about WWDC. And while I'm sure an official blog discussion will start once the keynote checker is up, let me take this opportunity to preemptively cover the "rules" as have been established over the past seven years since I've been spoiler-free:

1) no spoilers, of course. That means no hints, jokes, what is, what isn't or anything related to the discussions going on around the Internet once the keynote starts, or once the official thread is up.

2) no speculation. This has been a problem in the past, and certain people think it's ok to mindlessly speculate. It isn't. Just don't.

3) the spoiler-free thread is a place for Apple fans to distract themselves, to take attention away from the live blogs and rumors before, during and after the keynote until the official stream is available online. That's the point. Talk about books, movies, music, your dog, whatever. But nothing Apple or Apple related. Nothing.

Please, please, please respect these rules. And Mods, if there is an official thread, please post these rules or a version of them in the thread.

OK, so what do we talk about.

We could talk about espresso, my favorite subject...but there is a terrific "Espresso Enthusiast" thread...so that's out.

My second favorite subject is classic movies, but there are two great movie threads, so forget that.

We could just talk about how charming I am, but that would end up the shortest thread in MR history.

How about the weather...no really good weather threads. Boring as hell, but we don't want to srew up any extant threads.

So, it's raining like hell here. They had to call off the Red Sox game (no discussing baseball...there's a thread for that). I'm very unhappy because it's raining.

I hope this is distracting enough so you don't think about you know what!:eek:

Last year they streamed it live for iOS devices and Macs. Hopefully this year they'll do the same ;)

Wouldn't it be a prudent business move to stream it for *all* devices, you know, to show people what they can look forward to when they buy into Apple?

;)

What is WWDC? :confused: Is that good? :)

Now, let's talk about your day. Just think a moment: what was the best thing about today, and what was the worst thing today that happened to you or what you saw today?

For me, the worst thing today definitely was the traffic. Some people just can't drive properly imo.
The best thing today was finding out that one of my best friends is learning Unity and is trying to create a game. I am proud of him.

What about your day?

I've never done it spoiler-free before, so I don't know if I could last that long in the dark...

Does this mean people on this thread know the date/time of the keynote or not? I don't want to accidentally spoil anything.

I probably won't be going full on spoiler-free this year though...glad you started the thread!

I was looking for your thread like I do every year but didn't find it, so I started my own and then it was moved into this one which was started earlier. I think it's just great that we can all be brought together like this into a single thread to talk about nothing until the stream is posted. I always look forward to it.

With all due respect, the rules have been crowd sourced over the past seven years, and the post I made earlier more accurately reflect the spirit of all spoiler free threads since 2006. Specifically, No Speculation! Look at the WWDC 2012 thread for a great example of what the poster called "mindless speculation" that caused everyone to jump on him. The rules are simple, nothing Apple - because at first glance speculationlooks like a rumor or spoiler, and it causes us to flinch. So just don't.
