WWDC 2015 scholarship

Hi everyone!

I made a thread for the WWDC 2015 student scholarship.
It's a great place for applicants to talk to other applicants or even help each other with tips and stuff ...

So who's applying?
 
When is the app due for the 2015 Student Scholarship?

Also, do you have to have an app on the App Store to have a chance of getting a scholarship to WWDC?
 
Based on apples 2014 WWDC scholarship deadline, "All applications must be submitted by April 14 at 5:00 p.m. PDT."

But since WWDC is being held later than usual, they will extend the deadline a couple of days.

No you don't have to have an app on the app store. But i think it would affect the reviewing process (in a positive way of course).
 
Would it be worth putting an app on the app store to increase one's chance of getting in?

Also, are there any examples of some of the better applicants who got in, so people have an idea of how good their app should be?
 
If you aren't paying for the iOS or mac development program, its not worth it and no, it won't make that much of a difference.

If you do have an app or apps on the app store, that shows your experience in developing them and managing apps on iTunes connect.

I know, mostly it will be a bummer if they put the application deadline on the same date as last year. They should at least let the students know when the scholarship deadline is.

Wow your app is fabulous, I think you have great talent and will win the scholarship. You are much better than me...

I'm not too active on the app store because i have other projects but here is a small game i made:

Just a quick question: Aren't the apps supposed to be about yourself & your experience. I thought that was the topic. Am I wrong?

Since WWDC is expected to be a week later than last year, it will likely be announced in a few days. I'm hoping Apple will announce details around Monday.

I think they will definitely give us some notice. Hopefully at least a couple of weeks.

Thanks a lot! It started off as a small project to get me started with Swift, but after a while I decided to release it to see how it did.

I'll definitely be putting a lot of effort into trying to obtain the scholarship, but I have really limited time between University, app updates and work.

I checked out your own app and it's really cool! I'd definitely like to work on a game at some point.
 
So,

- 350 scholarships
- They may even pay the expenses & accommodation
- Your app need to contain some Swift to be considered valid

What do you guys think? :)
 
Guys Apple just announced wwdc 2015.
It's on June 8th.submission starts on 22nd may
Anyways I have some doubts should the app we submit support both iPhone and iPad or just one of them?

Submission starts on 22nd of April.
iPhone should be enough, judging by the last years.

I am almost done with mine. I'll hopefully finish it this week. What about you guys?
 
Are you sure iPhone only will be enough?
I wanted to start a long time but I was waiting for them to announce it.damn me.
Anyways how much time did it take you?
 
I'm pretty nervous about it. I've only just started mine and I have hardly any time to work on it between University and work. Guess I'm going to have a busy couple of weeks...
