New maps looks beautiful. They didn't do this for maps though, the level of detail is screaming HD maps for autonomous driving and update via Lidar/Radar/Vision sensors.

Initially this will only be useful for larger cities, as map data isn't available in this detail. Mark my words, in a couple of years this will be the centerpoint of their autonomous driving software.

The thing is though, 3D Touch was actually good. iMessage and memojis, on the other hand...

They got rid of a good feature and are causing bloat in iOS by forcing themselves to justify a "new" version of iOS each year.

Yeah, I feel like they dropped it for technical reasons (prevented them making better/cheaper/thinner/more reliable displays?), not because people didn't like 3D Touch.

Ya I see a supreme court case coming up around if you give an officer your iPhone for your license info is the cop allowed to look through the rest of the phone.

There's got to be some shortcut like tap the power button x amount of times and it'll use faceID to unlock the ID without unlocking the phone
