Have you forgotten that when the iMessage recipient isn't available that it fails over to SMS to ensure delivery? Also alerts from school/city/state/emergency services, airlines, MFA/2FA etc etc still deliver over SMS.SMS messaging via satellite, seriously? We don't want SMS anymore, this isn't 2010.
