My approach to minute-by-minute reports
I skip the minute-by-minute reports. I like to sleep in, get up, have some coffee, chat with the wife, play with the kids. Then, at some point, when I have a few free minutes, I sit down at my iMac and check in on all the usual sites to see the news. It's the way I've handled all the past events where huge news was expected and it's quite an effect, especially when there really is big news or announcements. The sudden change is great, to go to bed and awake to find the entire landscape of the land of Apple completely rearranged. I don't think the impact of getting it bit by bit as it unfolds to be quite as amazing, but to each his own.
Either way, I hope tomorrow lives up to everyone's expectations--and not because I particularly care but because I can't deal with yet another week of moping on all the Mac forums.
