CandyBar is going to be a must have with this horrible icons Apple made.

apart from that, it seems like a GREAT update.:)

I want to know

I want to know if the menu bar can be set to solid in the Preferences. If the blue background from Tiger is still an option (contrary to Steve's assertion, I still use it)? I also want to know if applications that have a full screen interface like iPhoto or iTunes remain persistent when used with Spaces? Anyone have a build that can test this? Thanks.

Oh, and here is hoping they add CoverFlow to Spaces. Imagine all your apps in full screen mode and then flipping through them with CoverFlow. Awesome!

i have to agree. those finder icons are so bland. but preview is looking a lot better. i saw a youtube video of pdf kit, and the guy was moving around the pages in the side bar. it was pretty cool. here's the video from last year's wwdc.

I think that Apple will update the look of the menus before Leopard ships. The blue gradient highlight when the user clicks on menus in the menu bar don't look right, and I think that a gray background for menus that appear right under the menu bar look a bit... off. I doubt they would increase the transparency much, but perhaps a color change?

i'm hoping for icons in persepective... if they're going for a 3d dock... the trash can looks fine, the other look odd... it's going to bug me for a long time.

personally, i feel like their design skills downgraded with leopard.

and i miss the blue abstract default wallpaper! i always looked forward to a new one with each update

1- You can set the menu bar to be solid.

2- The blue background is still available, if not you can copy it from Tiger to Leopard.

3- I don't understand your 3 question.

The menu bar WOULDN'T look bad if the icons on it (battery status, wifi indicator, etc) didn't have the solid white in them. This just makes them look tacky. Hopefully this will be fixed for the final release.

I'm sure it will be...it works with themes in shapeshifter :)

Probably will be. But I don't like the blue color that appears when those items are clicked (at least, it doesn't go well against the green around it).

meh

The wifi and battery icons in the menu bar look horrible. New folder icons are horrible too.

One thing I'd like to know is whether or not the Aqua scroll bars are going to be replaced by the smooth gray ones like we currently have in iTunes. I sure hope so.

Stacks will be pretty much useless if it's as this picture here. If those icons stay as the default PNG icon instead of a thumbnail of what the actual picture is then it's not going to be useful. In fact it will be worse as you will need to invoke stacks, guess which picture it is, find it's the wrong file, invoke stacks again.. repeat until you find your file.
