Alright, I have an iMac G5 running Tiger, but suddenly today the HDD became corrupt. When starting up I get the dreaded question mark and all of my attempts to fix it have been unsuccessful.
I have tried repairing the disc from the OSX CD (fails repair) as well as resetting the PRAM/SMU/etc (which obviously fail because it won't start up. I also tired starting the disc in Firewire mode, but my iBook does not recognize the iMac's HDD.
Are there any steps I can try before erasing the HDD and reinstalling OSX?
