Hey Everyone,

Just got the X and had a question... Can the X/8 charge using "quick charge" through the use of a usb-c to usb-a adapter and a normal lightning cable?

I'm using https://www.amazon.com/AUKEY-Adapter-MacBook-Samsung-Galaxy/dp/B00W98IJ0O and a lighting cable. Plus the USB-C brick that came with my 13" Macbook Pro. It looks to be charging faster than normal. I'm guessing someone here can tell me if my setup is less "special" than Apple's USB-C to Lighting cable. Thanks.

It’ll probably charge at the same rate as a 12w iPad charger.

The charger and iPhone won’t allow the higher voltages needed for true fast charging without the correct cable as it could be a fire risk.

The Apple official USB-C cable is noticably thicker than a normal lightning cable.

So far I've only seen mine fast charge(12.1w) with Apple's propriety cable and compatible charger.
I use Apples 29w Mac Book charger. Have yet to test my wireless charge but it seems slow to me.
