I was told Twitter/X was doomed over a year ago lmao

also didn't you say Apple was going to block X from the App Store a long time ago? how did that turn out?
Apple board is holding them back. Phil Schiller and Tim Cook wants to nuke X from App Store now, but Apple board convinced the two to hold back on that (and repeatedly held back the two) until Musk does something so egregious that it not only will require them to pull Twitter but also remove Tesla app from the app store as well.

Either way advertisers are still leaving the platform like cockroaches when exposed to light.

this is purely wishful thinking.

plenty came back.
Not the big ones Twitter was fully dependent on, just some random crappy Temu or Adult toy product like ads And even if they came back, they are spending way way way less than before and some are not bothering advertising in 2025 on Twitter and focusing all efforts on Instagram and Snapchat instead.

So? Plenty of people smoke, plenty of people eat pickles, plenty of people like the color red. How is it relevant what plenty of people do?
I'm pointing out the bias in your response. Plenty do use it as they see value out of it. You pointed out that you wouldn't use one by Elon, so it's clear that it's not that the service just isn't useful to you, but you despise a certain figure that you're willing to go out of your way to boycott something that is useful to many people, even if you eventually find the tool useful in the future.

Musk (in)famously left OpenAI in 2018.

and?

I find it super funny that people point out the "real cofounders" of Tesla and Elon has nothing to do with it, but when it comes to OpenAI, Elon being a cofounder is meaningless when he left before ChatGPT became a thing. Not to mention Elon contributed massive funding to early stages of both companies where without it, both companies wouldn't exist today.

I didn't say it was meaningless, but he's been gone from OpenAI for awhile. Musk was key to TSLA being successful, and is mostly a footnote in OpenAI history except his lawsuit tirades he's begun.

And the whole founder thing wouldn't really matter, but HE makes it an issue. With TSLA there was a lawsuit settlement that named him a co-founder. His breakup with OpenAI occurred because he wanted total control and they said no and found the funding they needed elsewhere.

OpenAI wouldn't exist without him actually (primarily the funding and one of the key members of recruiting Ilya who became essential in developing chatGPT).

no, Elon and JB were working on their own EV startup and basically merged with Tesla. The stipulation for merging was that Elon and JB were named cofounders because both companies were at the same initial point in the companies' lives
.

why he left isn't relevant.

I defend him only because he hasn’t done anything wrong and he’s contributing a lot to a variety of things I am interested in. Leftists loved him a few years ago, then he starts needling Dorsey et al. regarding their censorship and bias, and he turns into Satan to the left. I think it’s silly, just as silly as the people that won’t see a Mark Ruffalo film or won’t purchase beer because they sent a can to some obscure transgender person.

I’m 50 years old and maybe it’s just my age coming through, but I learned a long time ago that I don’t have to agree with people 100% of the time. If you all go through life only patronizing people or companies you agree with politically, you’re doing life wrong.

You guys calling everyone a racist and a fascist, YOU are the problem and the reason there’s no dialogue, no civil discourse, and so much vitriol online and honestly, even in society. If you all think 80 whatever million people are racists and fascists and that 70 whatever million are communists, then we’re never going to be able to come back to a normal state and might as well do as Michael Malice suggests and have a national divorce.

No, the problem with all forms of socialized medicine is the inevitable happens, you run out of money. Sure, if you want to raise tax rates to 75%, yeah, it can be kept afloat, but then people can't afford anything else and you end up EXACTLY where many people are now, post inflation. The care is bad and getting worse and the worker shortages are past being a problem.
No one complains about the police running out of money, or the fire department when a house is on fire. These are necessary services. So is healthcare. It should be a right. Provided for the good of the people and yes they should absolutely raise the taxes on the wealthiest to pay for it. It being a for profit industry is insane.

No, there is not. There is not killing of them solely based on ethnicity and the killing of them all would have stopped had Hamas surrendered and released the hostages. They are not withholding food, that is a lie, in fact Israel has supplied over 3,000 calories per day to Palestinians but they don't control where the food ends up, who does? The terrorists do. They've killed their own people for trying to get food.

The ICC means nothing, they are nothing but anti-semites.

You've certainly bought into that "misinformation and propaganda" you mentioned earlier.
Lots of lies here. They are absolutely blocking aid getting to Gaza. They are trying to starve the people. Innocent people. They are using collective punishment which is a war crime. You can’t bomb innocent civilians and bulldoze their homes to get a few. This is a genocide. You have bought into Israel’s propaganda. They have been oppressing the Palestinians, for decades. They have murdered 50,000 men women and children just in the past year. It is an apartheid state. The world knows it. Benjamin Netanyahu is a war criminal and a fugitive from the law. Also, you seem to be equating being against Israel with being antisemitic. That is just wrong on so many levels. Also, being pro Palestinian is not equal to being pro Hamas. You need to learn the distinction.

Don't poke a leopard with a stick ;) And when you do, offer the one who poked the leopard to the leopard, and don't hide them with innocent human shields. All parties involved are wrong. The general troubles go a long way back, but what triggered this is clear, you don't just go brutally attack innocent civilians at a party and then provide a safe haven to those who did that.

You guys calling everyone a racist and a fascist
I mean its pretty easy to call Elon a racist and a fascist when nazis are widely acceptable on Twitter, he reposts Nazi(and Qanon) accounts, supports Germany's far-right AfD party, countless tweets that are straight up racist, disowns his own daughter for being transgender, and being a straight up oligarch right now.

Then you have the other stuff that highlights just how much of a contemptible fool he is, like the Thailand cave event where he had a dumb idea and got offended and called someone doing life saving work a pedophile, being a deadbeat dad, shining example of dunning-kruger (him saying Covid cases would disappear in April of 2020 should have him laughed off the planet), pushing the dumb hyperloop project to kill the high-speed rail development in California, and bringing out the most hilariously awful Cybertruck that's only usefulness is showing which people should be taxed higher.

I defend him only because he hasn’t done anything wrong

Idk, I think trying to intervene in Germany's elections to try to have the most far-right party since the Nazis and trying to be the shadow president for a platform that only offers white resentment is pretty wrong.
