"X" can't be opened because you don't have permission to view it ... WTF?!

Lately, when I am trying to open pics on my computer, I often get the above error ... What gives?!?!?!

Did you copy them from another account?

Have you repaired permissions from Disk Utility?

Check "Get Info" on your pictures folder and see if you have ownership and establish ownership and read/write on the folder and enclosed folders.
