Anyone having any CarPlay Issues?
- On the ILX-107 using wireless CarPlay I had a hell of a time getting my phone to initially link to the CarPlay unit. It took me a good 20 minutes to get it to finally work. I finally had to reboot both my phone and my car about two times and then it finally let me link them. Once it was initially linked it seems to connect every time with no problem.
- for some reason my car microphone doesn’t seem to work with the iPhone X at all. I hit the Siri button and it just can’t hear anything I say. Seems like I might’ve had a couple of instances of Siri getting frozen or stuck on the screen as well.
- this is an issue I’ve had with three different iPhones on two different carplay receivers... but I do wish that Apple would fix it at some point. When I first start playing audio. I will get like a couple of skips or drop out within the first several seconds... then it works perfectly fine the rest of the time that the car is on
- this is also an issue that I’ve had with three different iPhones on two different CarPlay receivers. But when it’s night time and the phone connect CarPlay... and you open the Maps app in CarPlay. It’s in daytime mode. If you even wake the screen on your phone it instantly switch is tonight mode.. you don’t even have to unlock it. This is really annoying. I should not have to pull my phone out of my pocket and wake the screen to get the map to go in tonight time mode.
