I don't understand this point of view. How does it look the same when the front is completely different, as well as the back? If you're talking about the shape or silhouette of the phone, well... all phones nowadays just look like a slab of glass and metal.

IPhone 3GS to the 4 to the 6 were larger design changes.
The bezels and home button (and whole design of the front part of the device) were removed. That doesn't count 😵.
When people look at a phone, they look at the front. Think about it. The X definitely looks different than a 6... 🙄
But the back is very similar to the 8. So it’s an IPhone 8 In a 6S case with an 8 no button and a notch.
but they all had the same front, only a different size. the X is the first iPhone with a different front. which makes it the biggest change of any iPhone.
Also, the back has a vertical camera, is glass, etc.
Differences don't have to be groundbreaking each time to be different.Well yes but turning the camera round isn’t really ground breaking changes.
Every phone is a rectangle. For all those saying that the 8 is the same design.
The X is the same design expect a notch and no button.
