i know that the x is available for pre order on the 27 but what time will it be available to order?

Every year it seems like one of the systems opens up minutes earlier than others...
thanks now i just need to remember to set my alarm.
By the way, its always the the system I'm not using...lol
Most of the time the unlocked version is released about a month after the initial launch. This year the 8 and 8 plus were released as unlocked on launch day. That may be due to the fact apple knew the demand for the phone would be less. My gut says the unlocked version of the X will be released at least a month or more after the initial launch novemver 3.
Probably to allow the carriers to sell their share first.

From last year's preorder experience, I recall most people didn't get access into the Apple Store until 3:10am or later. Just millions of people hammering the servers.

Exclusivity agreements with carrier(s). Remember until the iP4 you could only get it from att. The only unlocked/non-carrier tied iphones (in US) available on initial release are 8/8+ (maybe SE?). The 8/8+ probably only because they were announced the same time as X and not "flagship" models.

Yep am grateful we are 8am in the UK though I know some find it tricky if they are travelling to work or meetings. To me though it beats setting the alarm for midnight. Remember doing that for a launch a few years ago.
Booked the 27th and 3rd off work as soon as I knew the dates hope I bloody get one for launch!

last year (iphone 7 / Plus ) it was no worldwilde pre order.
Pre order for this years iPhone X will start for 55 countries (including that tiny country somewhere in Asia called China) all at the same time/minute.
I think you can expect ''just a few'' more customers this year with the pre order then last year
