no way around it.so keep in mind when buying the X!

That doesn't apply just to the iPhone X, that could be for any iPhone. And It also depends what you're referring to, the display or the stainless steel bands. But if you're somebody that uses a quality protective case and screen protector, you can avoid scratches for the most part. And if the regular stainless steel bands scratch, they can be removed with a buffing cloth.

yes the stainless steel band im always careful on my X infact i put a nice protective case a screen protector and a clear skin but i still get scratches on silent switch and on the side of the stainless band

Both phones scratch, both colors, in any case, in any event...they will both scratch and that's about all any of us can say until next year and they maybe change the material or toughen it up.

you probably did not see it but im sure you have scratches all over.i scratch mine just by my hand.just the stainless steel not on the screen and the back
