X-Video extension: no adaptors present

Hi,

I just installed xine-lib-1.1.9.1 and xine-ui-0.99.5 on MacOS 10.3.9, and it kind of works. I can't select xv for the video driver. I ran xvinfo and this is what it told me:

X-Video Extension version 2.2
screen #0
no adaptors present

I can't figure out how or where to get any adaptors. I found a post that said that apple doesn't really support X-Video, but that seems pretty weird because I have it on my machine. Is that true? And, if it's not, how can I get X-Video to work?
