So I download this app called Darwine WineHelper. WineHelper is basically a program that allows you to open .exe files and Windows apps on Macintosh. It's a bit like CrossOver and VirtualPC. Problem is I can't use those programs because they are "not supported on my system". So I can only use WineHelper.

If I want to use WineHelper I need X11 for Mac. So I download the X11 installer off the Apple website. When I open the installer it tells me that I have newer software on my computer. But WineHelper still won't work .

What do I do? I can't find this "newer software" so I can't unistall it. And WineHelper won't work. I've tried pretty much every other PC to Mac software. Is there anything I can do?

Which version of OS X are you running? The download on Apple's site only works for 10.3 (Panther). The 10.4 (Tiger) installer disc has X11 under optional installs. Under 10.5 (Leopard) X11 is installed by default but the user can opt out.
