Typing in X11 stopped working. For example, if I type zxcv into my keyboards, the 5678 is what shows up on my screen. This happens in all of the x11 apps I use (xterm, the gimp and xournal). As you can imagine, this makes all of these applications unusable. I am not sure how it started- it may have occured after an update. I have tried repairing permissions, restarting, etc. Does anyone have any ideas?

By the way, all the symbols that come up seem to be regular english letters or symbols, so I don't think it is a foriegn language mapping issue. Sometimes letters seem to act as function keys. For example e seems to be backspace and r seems to be tab.

Please help!

How to make this install of X11 work on snow leoapard?

Thanks for the tip but the installer of the customized X11 is not working on Snow Leopard.

"2.4.0 will not be released for SnowLeopard. 2.4.1 will be the first release that can be installed on SnowLeopard. There will be separate Leopard and SnowLeopard packages for 2.4.1 and later."

Has anyone got a beta of 2.4.1?
