macOS X11 window frames gone

Hi,
I've had some problems with X11 on 10.5.5 lately. First, x11 did not start at all, but this was fixed by a XQuarts update. However, none of my X11 windows have frames anymore, so it's impossible to resize and move them. Does anyone know of a fix?
