I bought a ati x1900xt off ebay a while back. I finally got a 2006 mac pro 2.1 with a two 4 core 3.0ghz cpu's and when i got it it didn't have a video card. So when i put the video card in i get no video. I get the mac chime and everything else works but the video card. I have two blank hard drives in it and i have mac os install cd in the cdrom. The cdrom is booting up the mac os off of the cdrom but no video. The guy i bought the video card from flash the card for mac pro from 2006 to 2008 he told me. Is there something i need to do to get the card to work? thanks for the help.

If that’s the case the card should work with the 2,1‘s 32-bit EFI. Is it possible it was flashed with an OpenFirmware ROM?
Is the card known to work? What monitor is connected and how?
