Now that apple will switch to Intel processors, what will happen to us mac users that use our G5?

Will Apple continue to support us? Or will support gradually stop as it happened with the transition from OS 9 to X?

If the second one happens, I will be really pissed off that I bought a G5 just to throw it away 2 years later...

In the PPC switch the last OS that ran on the previous processors was OS 8.1, 7 years after the first PPC Mac shipped if I recall correctly.

you will be supported for quite some time still no doubt, at least as long as the processor can handle the OS and the applications, i wouldnt worry

Did you really have to make a new thread about this?

I thought that 42,187 was enough.

I could only come up with 42,185 threads, did you pull the other 2 out of your arse?
