Even without the mobile substrate update being out, will xbmc still function properly for me if I JB and install it? That's the only thing JB related that I use.

I couldn't make it work on my iPad Air it keeps quitting... I reinstalled MS few times and respring, nothing....
Rebooted too? The current stable version (12.3-1) has no problems on my 32-bit iPhone 5 / iPad 3. It shouldn't on A7-based devices either, as it's not dependent on MS.

Yep did reboot twice. At the end I decided to restore to 7.0.4 and patiently wait for MS to be updated and then Jailbreak again. I couldn't make any tweaks work so far so there's no point.
