Thanks for answering, especially so quickly.

I wish I understood more easily. I looked up the website, and the driver project, that you mentioned. Seems that it's you making that, right?
Did my best to figure out what that's all about, but when I went to "build" the package, I got an error. Something to the effect of a filepath, ending in "360daemon.app", not being found.

I'm smart enough to figure some things out and follow even complex directions, but maybe not well-versed enough to figure how to do this on my own.

For instance, your last sentence totally eludes me.
And I'm not sure what software you're referring to, having 0.11.0 being fine.

If you find the time to help further - much appreciated!

…I had more info here, then my iPad lost it :(

There should be a link on issue #22 that you can download. Note that it might not have your specific controller in its info.plist file, and editing it to include it will make the driver not work.

Building the project yourself won't help if the kernel isn't booted into kernel development mode, which turns off code sign checking for kexts in /System/Library/Extensions.

Edit: you can find the original driver here. The GitHub project linked is actually a fork, with a better Force Feedback (rumble) driver.

Hello, i've got the same issues on Yosemite 10.10.1.
I tried connect a PS3 controller in USB, Wireless ... nothing :(
I tried too with a XBoxOne controller wireless ... nothing :(
I tried with a Xbox 360 wired ... nothing :(

In all case No controller found :(

Is there a new way to play with any of my controller on Mac Yosmetie ?

I tried with Xbox 360 Controllers ...No controller found, XBOXHID ... same .. and Xone Controller too :(

I read somewhere than since Lion we didn't need any driver for PS3 controller ... it's include in OS X ... ok but how can I connect it ;)

Thanks for your help ;)

You will still need a driver for your game controller regardless of OSX version. I'm not sure about PS3 controller, but I assume it is the same.

You can download Xbox driver here:

http://tattiebogle.net/index.php/ProjectRoot/Xbox360Controller/OsxDriver#toc1

or Yosemite version here: https://github.com/d235j/360Controller/releases

You may need to restart your computer before it works.
Hope that helps.

Reading through all of this and I'm stuck too...360 wired controller running 10.10.1. I've got the github version of the driver but in every game I've tried, the left trigger is showing up as "axis 3", forming a duplicate?? Where am I going wrong

Due to the triggers being analog inputs, the best way they can be represented is as axes. The d-pad is represented as four buttons, for whatever reason.

xbox 36 glitch

Hello all,
I was hoping to maybe get some help with an issue i have been trying to solve for some time. during and before game play my controller seems to be able to control the mac and some features such as mission control, but it interferes with my game play. is there a way to set it to just work with games or an extension i should delete to get it working in just the games?
Thanks in advance sorry if my questions not clear.

That's dissappointing.. In the tattiebogle app it shows correctly. In both farm sim 2015 and construction sim 2015 I'm having this issue. I wasn't sure if there was a way to change settings for it

I tried tattiebogle and the updated version from github but neither of them works.

I found out that it might be because os x isn't even recognizing my wireless 360 receiver. After I plug the dongle in and go to System Report, there's no listing of any 360 controllers under the USB section. I tried this on a Mavericks hackintosh, Mavericks MacBook Pro and Lion Macbook with the same results on all three. Tried various reboots as well. Nothing

Anyone else have this problem? Since it doesn't show up in System Report, I can't try thed0ctor's method either.

I've heard that the wireless adaptor doesn't work if plugged into a USB3 port. Is it connected to a USB 3.0 port or hub? Does your Mac have USB 3.0 ports?
