Well forgot to tell you, im outside the US for now, currently working in Mexico, here the official price is about 650 USD with tax included. This shop called gamers added a sale that reduced the price to 490 with taxes included, so its cheaper than the 499 + tax pricepoint you get on the US, which is around 542 where im from (TX).

Plus I had about 240 in store credit from games I sold a while back in preparation for next gen, so that´s how I got my cheap xbone.

Thanks...

Maybe MS will put them on sale here in the US as recent articles say that PS4 outsold the XBOne 2 to 1 in Jan...

I want to get both, actually I kind of lean to the PS side of the fence. however this time a sale plus some store credit I had led me to purchase the xbone yesterday at around 250 usd, I love it, except kinect stopped working this morning, the sensor just wont light up or be detected. Anyone with this issue?

NOTE: MY unit is brand new.

Don't know if you resolved this yet but new patches shut off the Kinect while firmware gets installed. Then you have to manually turn it back on.

Also, you can hard reset the unit by pushing the power "button" for 10 secs

Frustration..

Disappointed to read it will take up to a year before Ireland will receive kinect voice commands and TV features :(

So annoying when UK region works fine. So folks living in Northern Ireland can use voice commands and access albeit limited tv functionality, whilst those south if the border can not. We have access to same TV providers and the 'accent' if it can handle a Belfast brogue then it can handle a Dublin, Cork and Galway brogue.

Why they can't just switch on voice commands... So bloody frustrating.

I think the voice commands are the reason Xbox hasn't released here yet. Not that they will ever make it work - Finnish is impossible. And no one I know could care less about voice control or Finnish localization anyway. We have PS4 though with full features ;)

I have really bad luck when it comes to Xbox. I went in to a Best Buy in my area and decided to buy the Xbox one with Dead Raising and Ryse, got the system home and I'm really liking how the controller feels. I set the system up and this huge update greets me when I turn it on so I go through it and its rather quick. After the update I decided to play Ryse first...cut scene comes up and BOOM..system shuts down and I can't seem to get it to boot up again:eek:

I called MS customer service and looks like I'll be returning this thing to them. At least there customer support was very helpful and I was able to get the disc out.

Bless

In the grand scheme of things, MS is much newer at making devices (they had mice/keyboards back in the day, but not "electronics") compared to Sony's legacy. Plus, MS is really only on their 5th console as compared to Sony's on their 9th (I'm also counting major redesigns).

Will be interesting to see in the mid-year where they are at as far as next-gen console reliability...

Have you tried unplugging kinect and turning it on, then plugging kinect back in ? Heard that fixed some issues for some - but heck that does suck.

Dead Rising 3 when you do get to play it is surprisingly entertaining though, certainly the best DR of the lot.

Did all that in the end MS told me to send the kinect in and that in 3 weeks time I would be getting it back. I went to the store instead and replaced it, it works like a charm now
