For anyone wondering about what hardware can do what, I posted some project build times from a MacBook, 13" & 15" MBPs, and a retina iMac at Some benchmark results. This is an iOS project, not sure why I posted in the Mac forum 🙂

Short answer: quad is best, but newer helps. RAM, meh.
