i have been having problems with xcode for mac. i downloaded the pack as a registered apple deveoloper. i opened xcode, all working fine, and put in a small piece of code to a new project. there was one problem. the build and run button didnt work. i hit run>console>build and run or whatever but the button was still semi transparent and unclickable. i redownloaded it, and it worked. for a bit. i quit out and got back on and it wouldnt open at all. i re downloaded it once more, and it now the button is semi transparent and unclickable again, possibly suggesting an error. what should i do??

also, i use the command thing and c++ not cocoa

Close XCode entirely.

Open XCode.

Create a new XCode project.

Click on Mac OS X Application in the left, and then Cocoa Application on the right.

Name your app something like MyApp.

Press Build and Run.

It is building... Now it should pop up with your app.

If that works, there is nothing wrong with the install, it's something else you're doing in XCode. You probably just need to learn how XCode works.
