Xgps question

I just installed xgps.

My question is now that I have installed xgps do I also need to install the xgps utility that was in the same folder underneath xgps??

Will it not work properly without it? Or what is the utility xgps for??

ALSO....how do you get the unit to pin point your "current" position??

I can't figure this out for the life of me!

I think I may have figured out how to invoke the current location.

I switched the gps from xgps over to iphone 3g gps and then something seemed to work, but not fully.

Can someone confirm how to do this please.

I'm almost ready to uninstall this until the turn by turn comes out if I can't seem to figure it out.
