.xml file not opening

I pulled a report from our library management software (Follett Destiny) last week. I pulled the same report tonight at home and I cannot get the file to open. It downloads as a .xml file. On my work iMac, I opened the file in excel and all looked fine and dandy. On my personal Mac when I open the file in Excel it is massive mess of HTML type text.

What gives and how do I fix this? I need to be able to share how to pull this report and open it with other librarians in the county. xml is the only file format I can download the file in.

Do you have the same version MS Office? The XML file may need to be converted. You can use the program below.

I am using Excel for Mac 16.25. I am not sure what version my iMac at work is on (I will look in the morning), but I know it isn’t this new.
