Hello all,

My problem is that when I try to boot to the XP installation disk, I get the very fast, flashing, gray apple, followed by a question mark folder, followed by the ghostbuster symbol, without the ghost.

The disc keeps spinning, but the windows installation screen never appears.

I'm new to installing windows with boot camp.

Anybody know what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks in advance.

By the way, I'm using a MacBook Air with and external DVD drive.

The question mark folder is Mac speak for I can't find a bootable image to boot from.

I take it the MBA boots fine to OS X? And the external DVD isn't the MBA SuperDrive?

Are you sure your XP CD is bootable and readable in the external drive (check within OS X).
